I have been having this problem in my Jimmy for some time now.
Whenever the truck is on the thing that makes the clicking noise for the turn signals will not stop clicking. The turn signals opperate fine and when it clicks by itself no lights flash.
I checked all the fuses in the truck and everything looks OK.
Here is the catcher though, when I apply the brakes the clicking stops. I have no clue why it stops when i have the breaks on.
If anyone has any idea of what is going on here, help would be greatly appreciated as that thing is driving me insane.     '99 GMC Jimmy turn signal issues -- posted image.

I'm not sure if I have understood your question correctly but have you tried looking at the grounding points to your light clusters. Bad grounds to the light clusters at the rear can cause all sorts of problems. The easiest way to check is try connecting a separate ground the clusters and try the indicators.
