Hi there,

I am a newbie so this subject has probably been covered before, however, I do not see anything about it currently in the lighting forum.

I recently purchased my first GM product in thirty years - a 1999 GMC Suburban.  It was purchased to pull our travel trailer.  So far it has taken us on three weekend camping trips plus all the way to Yellowstone and back without a whimper.  My wife and I both love it.  It has one feature that I do not like, but I can endure it if necessary.  How difficult is it to stop the headlights from coming on every time the key is turned on?  I know it is a safety feature, but there are still a lot of vehicles on the highway that do not have this feature and I would like to be one of them.

There's a switch in the parking brake lever that turns off the Daytime Running Lights (DRL). Not sure what colors the wires are. Someone here might have a better solution...

There is a little grey case with about a 1/2 dozen wires going into under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. One of those wires is a smaller diameter pink wire, looped back into the case. Snip it and put a switch there so you can turn them back on in the future
