I have a problem with the dash lights not comming on at all.  The switch that adjust the lights works I know cause when I pot a test light on the output side and adjust the knob it brightens and dims with the switch but the power isnt getting to the lights.  i would really like to know which one of the wires going into the dash cluster is the positive side so i can jumper around the problem.  i also know that the pins that turn the lights on at the cluster plug are number 4 and 5 bottom...

please help it bites driving without the dash lights at night...

they should all be + 12.. should come on and off with the park lites and work with thedimmer.... sometimes there is a internal fuse in the cluster.. look for the wire that goes to 12v and dims at the cluster If ya cant find it.. just keep tracing the harness back... should be pretty easy... My guess is its at the cluster..

If ya can, just jump a wire, from the dimmer, and cut the original, then solder your new wire to the correct one on the plug on the back of the cluster... just apply 12v until you get dash lights on the cluster.. I have a little powered ciircuit tester that will let you apply ground or +12v for stuff like that.. snap-on / mac trucks usually have them... nice because they have a built in breaker too....good luck
