I just installed 4 off road lights on the top of my Tahoe, I installed 2 switches (one for each pair) The problem I am having is when I turn one switch on, all foour lights come on.  They are not very bright either they have 130w bulbs in them, and look more like 20w. Any ideas as to what can be the problem? I have installed many sets of lights on various other vehicles of mine, and this is the first time this has happened. Basically I ran one ground to the switches which I just jumped from one switch to the other (these are illuminated switches), and I also ran one power wire to the switches which I also jumped.  I then ran the wire from each set of lights to the respective switch.  I ran one single ground from the frame to the lights on the roof which I tapped to each light as I got to it.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You sure you wired them in parallel and not in series? off road lights, tahoe -- posted image.

Yeah, I wired them properly, it turned out I had a bad ground, and now all works well.  Thanks for the suggestion.
