fog light problem

I have PIAA fog lights.  I washed my engine bay, after that my fogs didnt work.  I changed my relay and my fuse on my fog light power wire.  Nothing works.  When I push the switch on the PIAA, it lits up bright green and then when i push it again it lits off and it and it dosent come back.  The fog lights are connect to my parking lights(they do work).  So i dont know whats wrong,  I was wondering if it was okay to rewire the harness so i dont have to use the switch/relay/fuse.

In order to troubleshoot this you will need a volt meter and you need to find where you're losing voltage.  Most likely the problem is in either the relay or the lights themselves, as those are the only two things that would be sensitive to water.

They do make weatherproof relays, I'm not sure if you have one, but that would be a good addition if the relay is under the hood.

You could rewire without the switch by using your parking lights to trigger the relay.  Then, as mentioned above, run fused battery power through the relay to the fogs.

You can't eliminate the relay (without using a high current switch) and, under no cirumstances should you remove the fuse - it is strictly there for safety.

Thx, But for some reason my lights start working again.  I didnt change anything.  Anyone have a reason why it all of sudden just started working.
