Hello,
I am new to this forum and to car tunning so please excuse any stupid statements or questions I say or ask. I don't have a knowledge of resistors and relays and all that stuff. However, I can solder things if I need to.
I recently purchased a HID kit from www.xenon-vison.com
The other day, my left HID went out. I turned my car off and back on and the light came back on. Five-ten minutes later, the light went out while driving. I went home, checked all my hook ups and it all seemed to be tight. I turned my car back on and still the headlight was out. I decided to change the bulb to the other ballasts to determine if the problem was because of the bulb or the ballast. Now both HIDs don't work. bad hid kit? -- posted image.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Taken from their website:
HID capsules are very delicate & fragile components.
1.Do not touch the capsules except their base portions. This means no touching on the glass of the capsules, shafts, halogen bulbs, etc. If you do touch them by accident, use a cotton with alcohol to wipe off the skin oil carefully. (Touching the glass portion of the bulb will cause the lens to burn)
2.Do not flash the high beams (in the case of H4 Bi-Xenon) unless absolutely necessary. And this applies to whether your high/lo beams are on simultaneously or alternately.
3.Disable DRL (daylight running lights). This annoying feature sends insufficient voltage to the capsules when you first turn your key and as a result, only 1 of 2 capsules are usually fired up. You can 'fix' this by starting up the engine fast before the DRL kicks in.
4.Do not turn on the engine with the HIDs on.
5.Do not turn off the engine with the HIDs on.
6.Do not allow the HID ballasts to be exposed to excessive water/moisture even though they are water-proof to a certain degree.
7.Do not leave your HIDs on when car is idle. This overheats them.
8.Do not turn them on & off repetitively. This hurts all bulbs - incandescent, halogen, HID, LED, etc.
9.Inspect headlight units to make sure the seals are good. Make sure no moisture buildup inside the housings.
10.Use Hyper Ground System and/or Hyper Voltage System to stabilize current & voltage. And to get the maximum intensity of your HID system.
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Disabling Your DRLs
Due to all the problems with DRLs, most vehicle makers have issued bulletins to their dealers that detail how to disable Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). Try a Google or Copernic search to locate instructions for your vehicle(s). If worse comes to worse you can go to your dealer and pay them to disconnect them (just use the military base excuse). Consider adding the circuit I included above to gain the positive things about DRLs without being subjected to the negative things.
99 Chevrolet/GMC Yukon, Tahoe, Silverado
Find the DRL Module. It's the grey box with a flip type bottom next to the white connector under the dash. If opened there is a circuit card inside. Leave the card alone. Find the PINK wire to the module. This is the ignition on detect wire. Clip this wire. That's it. No more DRL. Everything else still works. GM puts a SPST switch in this wire as part of their Police Package (DRL/Radio Cutout Switch) to disable the DRL. I put a switch back in it so the DRL can be turned back on.

idk if this in universal for all GM vehicles, but heres an idea. i had a 2000 pontiac grand prix gtp - and there was a fuse specifically for the DRL's. i dont remember the location of the fuse box. there are multiple, and may have been behind the glove box, under the hood and above the kick panel on the driver's side. Just pull the DRL fuse. the diagram on the cover of the fuse box will tell you what each fuse is for, your owner's manual will do the same. Just PULL THE FUSE! Hope this helps.

I found the fuse in the fuse box; however, it is not removable. =[ Anything else?
