tweeter pods

A-pillar tweeter pods: does anyone manufacture premade assemblies like they do for gauges? I've done a search on the12volt, both audio and fiberglas, and haven't had much success. A general search on the net has not resulted in anything more other than several people that have made their own. LOTS of gauge pods,

I am trying to optimise the performance of some Focal components and this is the location Focal strongly suggests for the tweeters. They are being installed in a '99 GMC pickup, standard cab. Power is coming from a 90 watt/channel RMS (4 ohm) Clarion amplifier.

Anyone know of somewhere to get these? Other suggestions? It seems to be the same situation for mirror pods as well.

Thanks for the response. "locally" the job seems too small for the guys that do this type of thing (body work). I was hoping that I wouldn't have to learn how on something that would be that visible.

The model of the focals is Access 165 A1. I thnk they are their entry level components. But they sounded far, far better in the store compared to systems for less money.

Perhaps I'm getting "ahead of the horse". What have other's experiences been as far as where to aim the tweeters? Especially in a truck cab.  On Focal's site (Australia) they seem to credit the reputation for being "sharp" on the tweeters being aimed incorrectly.

I would start by mocking the tweeters location, if you are really serious about placement, then I would mount the mids, locate the x-overs so that you can access them temporarily.

Take your tweeters and double stick tape them or velcro them temporarily to have physical evidence as to which location sounds the best (remember to try door locations, near and far from the mid). Just because the mfr. claims one thing, your vehicle may be the exception to the rule.

Then after all this is done, you can start worrying about pods and custom fabrication if you still need it. Plus, you may not want to the have tweeters aimed directly at you, rather point at a different angle for the pod fabrication.
