Hello, I was wondering if anybody can help me with installing two Sony Xploid XS-V6932 on my rear deck, their 6x9. How do I access the speakers in the back and take them out to put the new ones in? I was on crutchfield and their site told me that these speakers won't fit because the camry uses 6x9 size P speakers, but they said I can use an adapter, is this true and necessary? Where could I get it locally? thanks

You don't even need an adapter.  It's a "P" fit and not an "EZ" fit because the screw holes of the sony speakers aren't gonna line up with the screw holes for the factory speakers.  All you have to do is redrill holes in the sheet metal of the car, or just use self-tapping screws.

There's a 12mm ( I think it's 12)  bolt on each side of the car near the outer edge of the seat on the left and on the right, deep in the crack between the two cushions.  Once you remove that bolt , you can remove the end cushions by pushing up  on them til they pop out.  Once you have these removed you can get to the rear corner panels and the deck panel.  If I remember correctly they're all held in with spring-clips, but obviously remove any screws that may be holding them in place.  Remove the corner panels first, then the third brake light, and then you should be able to pull the rear deck panel up and then out towards you and it'll just pop right out.

Obviously your car may be a lil different from what I describe and if so, just use your judgement.  Usually if there's any give in a panel at all, it's probably held in with a spring clip and not a screw.  If it's just stuck there and pulling really hard on it won't work, then it probably has a screw holding it in somewhere.

BTW you should probably get some speaker harnesses so that you can just unplug the factory ones and plug in the sonys.  Otherwise you won't know which wire is positive and which is negative.  Some local shops carry the harnesses, although you're more likely to find them at an install shop in a chain store like best buy or circuit city
