I was wondering if anyone could help me to hardwire the 12v power supply for the Drive+Play into my car?  I do not want to use the 12v plug adapter that came with the Drive+Play. I am driving a 98 nissan maxima and would really like some help where to start.  The rest of the drive+play system is already installed.  Thanks for any help you can give me

to all:

Go it to work, found a wiring diagram for the head unit and hooked it up to the stock head units power supply. Let me know if I shouldn't do this, but it seems to be working fine.

What is the drive+play thing? I've never heard of it.

I would be careful when adding stuff to the stocl wiring; it is fuse appropriatly for the stock electrical components, and adding more to the same circuit is more than likely going to cause fuses to blow...

That'll be fine. DrivePlay doesn't eat up enough power to make it an issue, even the Drive+PlayIII doesn't draw enough to make it an issue.

greenbroncoguy: Drive+Play is an iPod interface created by Harmon Kardon that FM Modulates the iPod into just about any radio. What made this stand our from other iPod interfaces is that the DP includes a screen that emulates the iPod screen and the controller is designed around the iPod interface control. Those familiar with the iPod and how it is controlled will not need to look down and see what song is playing, the screen will do that for them and the control is essentially a duplicate of the iPod face itself, but now within reach of the user. My favorite part is how crisp the sound is even though it is FM modulated. The III adds a color backlit screen and a wireless interface system for the components for an easier, more flexible install.
