Ok, I just finished a buddies Civic and I put a UV8 PhaseLiner flipout, Fusion 1000/5 amp and Merlin 10in tube (local shop sub).  Anyways, I hooked everything up and tested before buttoning everything up and everything worked fine.  Well I moved the amp about 12in to its new location and when I turn the car on it goes right to fault and will not go into normal operation.  Now if I turn the key to acc. the amp will kick into normal mode and sub works fine turn the car all the way off and remove key and put key back in and start car it will go into fault again until I turn the key to acc.  Also, if I leave the car running and pull the 12volt lead from the amp and stick the wire back on, the amp will kick into normal mode ( not smart I know but running out of options).

This is what I have done:

1. Tested power at amp getting 14.3volts

2. Tested all fuses when car is running getting 14.3volts

3. No cuts in leads to cause a short

4. Moved amp 12inches when working and now no worky

5. Help!!!!!!

Did you screw the amp into metal? What if you unscrew it? May be internal short to heatsinks.
Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.
