Did you run any wires/rca near your brake pedal that are getting pinched when moved.

Is the amp moving when you applied the brake?

Hi/Low converter takes a high level signal (such as the signal from your radio) and converts it into a low voltage signal that amps can use (RCA)

You didn't mention whether or not you have a Bose system in your Silverado. Who did the install and how are the amps getting their signal: high input (speaker wire directly to amps) or low input (rca cables)

I have heard of this happening on some GMs with Bose on them, but I do not recall the solution off the top of my head.
