Hi all,
My friend's car stereo was stolen last week (Neon 1996) and the connectors from the car were taken. We are installing a new stereo. I found the wire diagram for the Neon and I have the installation instruction for the stereo, everything is fine except we don't know were to connect the Dimmer Wire (BLACK / YELLOW). Do we need to connect it to any other wire or will the audio and interior lights work fine with the wire loose?
Thanks in advance.
Roberto

Is this an aftermarket radio or are you installing a factory one?

just cap it off. it's function is to dim/brighten the background of the OEM radio with the dashlights using the dimmer knob. no need for the dimmer on an aftermarket deck. illumination maybe, but not a dimmer

Thank you all for your help.

I'll try to install it this weekend.
