Hello All,

Been outta touch with building a sub box for about 3 years now, and now im going to try to make one work for my dodge truck. Going with a single 10" mtx mzs1004 in hopefully a ported box. Mtx recommends 1.45ft3 with a f/s of 35hz here is my delema that i have ran into. The box demension as of mock up is  (internal) H=16.75, W=29.0 (can be changed still), Depth 1 = 2.75 (top panel), Depth 2= 8.25 (lower panel)...

These are factory specs of the sub....QMS 4.37, VAS 1.029ft , XMAS 0.530 in, QES 0.79, QTS 0.670

Whats your recommendation on Porting this Box, The Calculators are confussing the heck outta me?

Thanks

Ron

I would not consider using this sub in a vented box.  The sub specs suggest sealed in every way.

Qts:  .67

EBP:  44.7

Make it easier on yourself and end up with a better sounding sub, too.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
