hello all, this is my first post. well more of a question.
I have two pioneer premier ts-w3001d4's powered by one m.a. audio hk2000d amp. I was wondering what would be better adding one more sub or adding another amp? Thanks for your input.

Better for what?  Are you just trying to get louder?  If so, doubling your power will net approx. +3db assuming your woofers can handle the power.  Adding a third woofer will net about +1.5db.

As mentioned before, adding 1 more driver will only add +/-1Db. This will not be noticable.

Adding another amp (assuming it would total twice the power of the current setup) will add 3Db. This is hardly noticeable.

You need 10 times the power (or subs) for it to be twice as loud.

Your best (and least expensive) bet would be to properly design (and build -just as important) a ported box for more ouput. *What enclosure are the subs in now?

the subs are in single sealed enclosures that i built. they are 1.5 inch
thick (double thick 3/4" mdf) all the way around. I am also running 0/1 ga. power wire w/ a 1 mf cap (for power conditioning).

I would build an enclosure 1.5-1.75 cuft per driver tuned to 35-45 hertz depending on how how you want it to sound.... just a  rough estimate IMO...

What are the dimensions of each enclosure (so we can figure out the internal volume)?

I agree with tubbs04, a (properly designed and built) ported enclosure will surely give you the extra bass you want.

.8cu' sealed or ported?! If you built a sealed box, then you're not going to get any more output. If ported, that is way too small.
