I have a jcv kd-adv6270 wired to a audiobahn 22000hct with two alpine type r 122d . The subs are wired dvc together and the amp was wired mono . When I first turned it on the bass was loud as I expect kinda low then it got muddy kinda sounded like the sub fell out the box but its secured. So I gonna try playin wit the freq. Could it be the subs are wired wrong I was sure I got my postiive neg right. Is there a way to check on a voltometer if I crossed the polarities on the sub wiring

Disconnect the wires from the amp and get a 9 volt battery, touch and hold the positive wire to the positive terminal of the battery. Then touch the negative wire to the negative terminal of the battery, all woofers connected properly should try to come out of the box. If one is not moving or it is trying to pull into the box, it needs to be checked for proper wiring.

Ok ill try that thanks I think my amp has a status light when the incorrect polarites are been used. I also had a brain fart and realized that the box I built was too big. Could that make the bass sound muddy or not as it seems

Your amp can't tell if you have a speaker wired out of phase.  Or at least I have never heard of that technology.

How much too big is your box?

I have a audiobahn a2200hct amp and it has a status light and when the polarites are wrong the blue light turns red and not it not the protection mode led. I had a old box with a broken face so I stripped the box refaced it and put the alpines swr-122d in there. The old subs I had in there were aw1251se audiobahn 12". The old box demenisons are
36 long
15 h
16 deep
Sealed and it sounded fine but I put the alpinels in there and got a different result
According to alpines specs the box for one sub is
13x13x12.5 but since I have two its 13x26x12.5 sealed. But I used the old box and its sealed but then I thought I could save the box and put ports on it but I centered the speakers and that might throw the ports offset. Also alpines box specs. is too big for my current setup I build. So I'm wondering if the ports are offset will that have any effect on it . Alpines specs for one sub is
18"x13.5x16.5
Gross internal volume 1.7ft3
Vent area 15in2 (12x1.25)
Vent length 22.75in
Vent displacement 0.305ft3
Net internal vol 1.3ft3
Any help would be great

Since the enclosure is bigger than the specs could I stuff it with cotton or fiberglass or some kind of installation to make it smaller. I was alos told that it could touch the basket of the sub

NO you cannot stuff your box with those materials to make the box smaller. That would actually do the exact opposite and fool the box into thinking it was bigger. I would kill two birds with one stone and add 3/4 MDF internal bracing, making the box stronger and at the same time reducing internal volume.

Thanks all that helped it was the box I designed it to be sealed but I used the ported measurements . So when I looked at the sealed measurements the box was too small for my taste so I purchased a ported some cuircit city. Check out http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2238122 for pics page 3
