i was hooking up component speakers(not coaxial) to 2 ch amp and i blew tweeters..
all i m hearing is mid range..none from tweeter..
my setting was at around 125hz..is this the reason to blew it??
or gain setting was..??

The little crossover boxes that came with the speakers, did you use them?

oh nevermind..

it was crappy deck wasn't giving enough juice, and the gain setting on amp was too high..

as soon as i turn it down, tweeter came back on..

deck was defective from the first place anyway..

tweeters were going into protection..yeah the tweeter got protection circuit built in according to specs..

i am gonna get new headunit..

i am gonna grab new headunit..
