Im looking to hardwire my ipod to my stock hu to avoid the tacky cassete adapter or fm transmitter. its 97 expedition with the factory cd changer in the center console. i have located the cd changer harness and the audio left in, left out, right in, right out. when i wire it up to the jack that is plugged into my ipod there is lots of static and the song on the ipod is very quite. then when i touch it back to the cd changer out it is crystal clear and loud...any suggestions???:/
thanks in advance
i am an idiot

Did you connect the shields of the Ipod cable to the shielded wire in the changer cable?
