Yeah, Im dumb.
Switch has +, -, and letter A.
Is + constant power, and A to the switched item?
Or A constant 12V, and + to the switched item?
Thanks guys... Dont want to short out here. :)

Strange... My title actually said "Simple Switch Question, +, -, and A"
Seems the forum doesnt allow certain words/punctuation in the title?
Anyway, hope I get an answer in the next few minutes... Sitting here with switch in my hand :(

Do you have an ohm meter? Is it a lighted switch?

With your meter set to the ohms function, test for continuity from the middle leg to each of the outer legs, one at a time of course. Test with the switch in each position. There will be a dead short from center to one leg, with the switch in one position. When you figure out which outside leg is connected to the center when the switch is on, post the markings on the center and the pin that it is shorted to. Then we can probably figure it out for you.

Thanks Idiot (Sorry, you chose the name ;)
If I had a meter, I know it would be a simple test, but as said above my meter is left at work... Just wondering if its a standard marking. Anyone know what the letter A on a switch pinout might mean?
Heres a picture of the switch.

I am assuming that the - is ground for the LED. The + is 12 volt supply voltage and the A is Accessory or 12 volts out of the switch.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
