i have kind of a quick question. i currrently have 4 kicker cvr 12s in a 40 HTZ box right now on a hifonics bxi2008d amp pushin around 1300 rms all together. problem is that i had to take out my back seat in my 94 exploder. i want the room back and i have stock electrical so i am down grading they system.

question is if i get a rockford t1 15" and have a good box from my shop built for it and put a cadence mono amp on it with about 700 rms. which is about the limit on the t1s. (says 600 but RF is underrated as im sure everyone knows) Will it get as loud or louder than my setup now? i took it to my shop and the owner has a isaci meter and i hit a 139.8 was my best. thats with no dynamat and stock alternator and red top. so will it be as loud??? also i like SPL so maybe someone has another suggestion on subs. i kinda wanted a RE audio but i have heard so many mixed reviews on them. maybe a small FI audio sub? im lookin for no more than about a 650 RMS amp so i wont ruin my alt. thanks guys!

With only 40% of your original cone are and half of your original power, it is going to be hard to be as loud as it was before.

yea i know but id rather work hard to make a low power system be loud then spend alot of money on electrical upgrades. so do you think i could hit a 140 with just one 15?

Speakers can get pretty loud, especially if you place them on top a pile of dynamite and blow them up.  They are darn loud then, well over 160db.

Not likely.  Why do you think you need to hit 140?  Are you competing?

well i was hitting almost 140 with my setup now and that was perfect loud for me. could be louder but i like that much loud comin to the back of my head. so 140 is just an average. no im not changing my screen name. you know people call explorers exploders right? lol no need for dynamite, its just a nickname.

sory double post. but also i was thinkin.... you guys would be better to learn me on this.givin the right enclosure and right amp on either setup. would 1 t1 15" be louder? or will 3 p1 15s be louder? since p1 only has 200 rms and 3 of them would be perfect. plus im going to invert them and i think they look cool inverted. especially 3! lol. which one could be louder though? thanks
