I am peplexed (dvd+car audio system) -- posted image.i have the biggest damn head ache from trying to figure the best way for me to wire my system. the problem is that i have a rampage for my head unit. and i refuse to break down and go buy a deck the is compatiable with every thing else.

ok here is the problem,...... on my dvd player (its a pyle) i need to run rca audio out to the deck so that i will have the use of volume control and sound quality.(and yes i have already tried to hook it directly to my amp but i have no volume control mind for the knobs on the amp but that is a pain to have to get into the back of the car everytime i need to adjust things and even biiger problem is when i want to listen to just my normal cd's and music i have to get back out and hook the rca's back up to the deck and re-adjust all the controls....trust me its a pain in the @$$) i do though on the other hand have an aux in adapter (little one the looks like it's for a set of head phones) on the front of my deck.) and i have tried to run it utilizing a >a/v - stereo head phone jack< and i just do not get the sound quality that i can settle with. so i have to two other options and that is break down and go buy a deck that has not only audio outputs that run to the amp, or i can run it into this deck's din in for the cd changer.

so i need to find some way to convert from a pin din to 2 male rca's............ yea what a task huh!!!

well if you think that you might have some helpfull advice or some sort of an idea feel free to get ahold of either here or call my cell at 208-602-1299 ask for dade

Use an FM modulator so you can use the DVD player on the Rampage HU.They are cheap ( about $ 30.00 ) for a good one.

What kind of head unit is it?  Some of the companies make an adapter cable that turns the changer port into an RCA audio in connection.  In fact a buddy of mine has the pioneer 6400 hooked up to a ps2 via this adapter cable.  Here's some of them for different manufacturers.   If that link doesn't work, just go to  www.crutchfield.com, then under "shop for car products" go to "installation", then "receiver installation", then "auxilliary input adapters"

Also you can get knobs that control the level of a RCA line, its just a little knob that plugs in between the amp and the source.  PAC makes a good one that I've been using for a number of years now ( LC-1).
