I just got a 200 For Expedition. It has the premium sound system with a tape deck and 6 disc changer. I have no use for either but would like to hard wire a 1/8 headphone jack into the radio for my iPod.
I figured the best way would be to just get rid of CD changer and use the wires that input the audio into the radio.
What wires (colors) should I tap my Left & Right channels into the stereo to hook up my iPod?

This is not going to be as simple as you think.  Most decks will not switch to the CD changer if there is no changer connected to the deck.   There is a chip in the radio that communicates with the changer.  No changer, and it will not switch to the changer.  But since you do have the changer, if it is in working order, this will be a possible task.    You will need to cut a few inches of insulation off of the changer cable, preferably at the changer.  Make sure it is an easy part to get to.  You will need to install a switch on the wires if you want to use the changer as well as the I-Pod.  No switches needed if you just want to use the I-Pod.  Remember the changer must be in working order.    This will not be a simple task, if you are willing to do a litle footwork and answer some questions as we go,  I can help you with this project.

This is plug and play, no cutting. You can also use the radio controls to control the iPod.

As far as the cheap cutting wires option, I will be doing it sometime in the near future, If I don't post on here again then email me at ohmslaweir(at)yahoo.com
