Allright to start out her is my system...

Alpine CDA-9855 Head Unit

Alpine MRD-M1005 Sub Amp

Alpine MRV-F345 Front Amp brigged

Speakers...

12 in. Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 DVQ

Focal K2P 6.5 Components

Ok, now for my questions...

1.  The Headunit has 6 rca outs... Front R & L, Rear R & L, and Sub R & L.  Should I connect all 6 direclty to the amps? Or would it be better to turn off the sub/crossover in the HU so that the front channels have a "full" audio signal and just run 2 rca's to the F345 and then run 2 rca's from the preout jacks on the F345 to the M1005?

2.  The headunit has a built in crossover, IF the proper way to connect the amps is to connect all 6 preouts to the amps should I use the crossover in the HU or the Amps... or both?

3.  And depending on what the answer is to question 1, how would I go about setting the gains on the HU and Amps?

Thanks in advance.

i am an idiot

That depends on you and your personality.  If you want to have easy control of your system and insist on changing settings for every song or type of music you listen to, you need to use all 3 sets of jacks.  If you only use 2 sets and the high amp feeds your sub amp, you will lose the ability to adjust subwoofer level from the drivers seat of your vehicle.  Same with the crossover.  If you are a set it and forget it kind of a guy, use the ones in the amp.  If you want to be able to change crossover points on the fly, your radio will be your best option.

That makes sense... I guess I was just overthinking it a bit.  I will probably go ahead and reconnect it up using 6 channels and then expirement a bit to see what I prefer.  It would be an even easier decesion if I could find a KCE-511M Amp link kit to control the amps settings via the hu, but I can't seem to find any in the US or on ebay. :(

Thanks for you help.
