I do not think you can easily adjust the display brightness on that unit. Did somebody change the bulbs and possibly used the wrong bulbs? How much too bright is it? You can change 2 resistors to dim the display lamps. It has been a while since I have seen one of those babies, but if you take the face apart and take a picture on the back of the circuit board, I can assist you.

Thank you for the quick reply-I am sorry that I wasn't clear with my question. The problem is the display is way too dim. From your input I will try to open face & check bulbs. Thank you again. If need be I will post again in hopes of more advice.

In way too dim, if you mean you can not see it at night, your bulbs are burnt out.

65T85125W06  is the part number for the bulb  you will need 2 of them.   1-800-421-5080 is the phone number you need to call to order the bulbs.    You will need some basic soldering skills to change them.  let me know if you need some guidance.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
