Is it possible to overload an Earth Point in a car? I am wiring up a 900watt amp and rather than make an Earth Point I have found one in the back quater but it is being used by the rear lights and other small items. If I connect my amp to this earth point will it blow? I have connected the amp to this point but just to test the amp before the install went ahead and nothing blow but I don't know what will happen when the volume is turned up.

Cheers

Just like ANY curent path, yes, you can "overload" it. The same as you can try to pull too much current from a battery post. This is simply an issue of excessive voltage drop. I would not use that point ever, though, as each time you step on the brake pedal, you run the risk of a "pop" from voltage or current spikes.
Find a different, and more appropriate, ground point.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
