Im lookin to upgrade my system but im not sure on which amp i want. Ive been recently looking at 2 amps they are the alpine m450 and TMA t500.1

Im leaning towards the tma but ive never tried this company or know anyone who has. I guess im just lookin for some opinions on them. O and before i forget ill be hookin one of these amps to a 10 in alpine type R. Any thoughts or suggestions would be a huge help.

TMA is an entry-level product manufactured by JL. I've never used them myself, but tcss (a member of the board here, and an Alpine and JL dealer from California) used to sell them, and he QUITE liked the stuff. For the price point, it is fantastic gear. If he liked it, I'm thinking you will too!

We have it, we sell it and we sell a ton of TMA amps. The T500.1 rated at 500watts RMS @ 2ohms. Comes with a bass knob, and is a pretty clean amp. Their motto for TMA is "The Anti-chrome." It's the mentality that the line is designed for performance not looks or marketing.

There's two things that I don't like on the TMA amps: The damping factor is a little low for my taste so it's a little "boomier" than the regular JL line, and it takes a few seconds for the amp to kick on when you turn on your stereo. Most of the time the delay isn't a big deal, but I am very picky about my audio system. My customers don't notice it and I've had nothing but compliments on the TMA amps.

Oh and one more thing: I've never had one come back defective. After 100 TMA amps out the door, that's saying something big for me.

thanks for the quick response guys. ive decided to go with tma because of there look on performance instead of flash.
