I am wanting to put a bass block on my 6x9s. I don't know what size capacitors I need for it. Does it matter that they are 2 ohms, and not 4?

Yes it matters if they are 2 or 4 ohms because the difference in impedance will change the frequency at which your calculations come out.  For example if you use a 500mF cap for a high pass filter on a 4ohm speaker it will give you a cut-off frequency at 80hz.  If you use that same 500mF cap for a 2ohm speaker it will give you a cut-off frequency at 160hz.
