i have 2 amps (1 2400w and 1 1000w) and a crossover to wire up to the headunit's remote power source. i know i need to use some type of relay, but how do you wire everything up so that nothing will shut off durring paly? i know all the power cabel specs, but my cd player will not turn everything on via the remote lead. could someone send me a diagram on how to wire this up? also, wiring: i am looking for a way to wire up 6 (4ohm) speakers powered by a 4 channel amp and i dont want to push too much, / too little power to any one of them. a diagram would be so very helpful.

Ummm... Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think you REALLY need to take your car to someplace that knows what they are doing. It sounds like your first system, and a multi-amp system is NOT where you want to start. You run a very real risk of burning something up.
Ask if you can watch, some places might let you. Ask questions while they are doing the work. Learn, but don't jump in both feet first. That can be dangerous.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
