Currently I have a PYLE PLD51MUBT, it has

SubWoofer output (1 rca which I have running to my sub amp)

Front (1 pair)

Rear (1 pair)

I am currently using the sub output and running the front and rear speakers off the deck, but I have a 2 channel amp that I am going to install and I am wondering if it makes a difference which pair of RCA's I should use (front or rear) or is there a way to use both, the amp only has 1 pair input, this amp will be running 2 door speakers and 2 rear deck speakers,  1 of each o per channel.

if it's 2 channel you'll use either the front OR the rear.  You can't use both rca out's.

but which one "should"  I use?

does it matter?

as long as I set the fader to the one I am using, I am assuming I will loose fader control then, correct?

is this were an equalizer or pre-amp comes into play?

so many questions, good thing for me that you don't charge for this.

You mean you haven't gotten your bill yet?  I'll have to see what's wrong with the auto-invoice server.  rca connection -- posted image.

Your main speaker amplifier should be connected to the front pre-outs, and the amplifier should power the front speakers (the most important speakers in any system.)  The subwoofer output should not be affected by the fader control.

I wouldn't connect the rears to the amp, just the front speakers. This way the amp will put out cleaner power, be more effecient, and you'll still have fader control.

How exactly will you retain fader control with 4 speakers hooked up to a 2-channel amp?

To the OP:

No, you cannot hookup both front and rear outputs from your HU, to your amp. You are going to lose the ability to fade. This is one of the disadvantages of running 4 speakers off a 2-ch amp rather than a 4-ch.

He said he wanted to power all 4 with the 2channel. This would lose fader. I say to only power the fronts. How do you think I said all 4?!

If he only connected the fronts to the 2channel, from the front preamp outputs from the HU, he could power the rear speakers to the rear speaker outputs from the HU. This would allow fading.

Ahhhhh... I read it too fast and thought you were teling him that by using the front RCA outputs, he would have fade! rca connection -- posted image.
