Can the factory sub be replaced with an aftermarket one and still use the factory amp? If so what would you recommend im not completely sure what size it is im thinking it must be a seven or eight inch and I think its four ohm's and a single voice coil. Thanks!

did the swap. for future reference the sub with the ml system is a 12 ohm svc

12 ohm? Just for my info, I have not seen such a high (or is the hihger number actually low???) ohm level. What difference does that make compared to a 2 or 4 ohm?

As for the swap out, could you please describe it briefly. Any little tid bits that may help others?
