Hi guys I have a 95 hyundai excel and I just installed a DIY central locking kit to it. WHen fiddling around with the wires I might have done something wrong cause now my audio doesn't have light.
It's a stock original audio from Hyundai. THe lights illuminating the buttons are still alright. Just the lights for the small screen that indicates which station the tuner is at right now. The display is still there but with no lights.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks

it honestly sounds like funny timing and nothing you did but just the fact that your led display backlite went out.

Really? Well talk about bizarre timing then. Is there anyway I can open up the Head Unit to replace the backlight by myself?

opening it i think is goin to be the easy part, find a replacement light to solder in is going to be much harder to do. maybe a wrecking yard in your area may have another radio that works or has a display you can put in the one you have now? of course new units are pretty affordable now as well. you may just want to put in a new one, or maybe check out the forum for equipment for sale on here by other members? hyundai excel car stereo -- posted image.
