What is your desired result? SPL or SQ? The Stroker is an SPL machine, and shows absolutely ZERO regard toward sound quality. The JL is a sound quality woofer first and foremost, and will amaze you with it's SPL capability provided it is in the proper enclosure! In an improper enclosure, you will be disappointed all the way around.
...and one should never, EVER read "quality" or "capability" into power ratings, ESPECIALLY the peak ratings.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
