back in august i was out of town and got a built in dvd flipdown monitor installed. it worked great for 3 wks, now thers's no sound coming from my rear speakers no matter whats playing. i.e, cd, ipod, radio, in-dash dvd, or flipdown. what could possibly be causing this. i'm going to check out my head unit to see if anything came loose. other than that i have NO IDEA.

i think its with the flipdown...because i can only turn the volume up on the headphones/monitor up a little bit. what should i look for before i take it into someone?

like the guy above said, thier isnt much info to go on...but id say if u have no audio coming from your rears the problems is somewhere between the headunit and the speakers(unless u have a amplified speaker system...then u would have to check fuses, grounds, etc.) a flipdown only has power, ground, doortrigger(?) and the only thing connected to your sound system is a rca audio out to the headunit, which doesn't have the capability to cause the problem you are having. i would take it to a shop and have them check it out unless you have a multimeter and are familier with trouble shooting audio issues. goodluck!

2004 eddie expedition...no moon roof...i do have 2 12's, 1000 rms MA Audio amp, and capacitor. i'll check the fuses before taking it in. its above my skill level. thanks for all your help
