We're installing an aftermarket stereo in an 07 Chrysler Pacifica.  There seems to be a data wire in the factory harness that sends a signal to the factory stereo but not to the aftermarket stereo.  Any ideas?  By the way, there are no badges on the stereo that might indicate it is an Infinity system.

Are you talking about the accessory wire that turns on/off with the ign?  The 07-up chryslers don't have one in the factory harness, you're right, it's data controlled.  You have two options, get a harness that will read the data signal, such as Metra XSVI-6502.  Or, you can just run your own accessory wire to either the fuse box or a cig lighter plug.  As long as it's not a premium system, everything will still work fine.

Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
