my rf p450.2

I got here a Rockford Fosgate Punch P450.2 that was working fine up to a few days ago. I noticed it blew both 30A fuses so I replaced them and they blow immediately upon powering up! I checked my power and grounds and everything there is good. Don't understand what happened. Got any idea? Luke

I think my amp is shot at this point!

yup tested them. They're fine. I disconnected everything but the turn-on lead, ground, and power wire to remove any variables.

I was told that it sounds like the amps power supply took a crap!

If the amp does not blow the fuse until you turn the radio on, it has shorted output transistors. The power supply is fine. If it were the power supply, the fuse would blow as soon as you put the fuse in the amp, even with the radio turned off.     This will NOT be an easy repair. it will probably cost you about 150 bucks to get it fixed. You will probably have trouble finding someone that even wants to do it.   That amp has 2 positive output transistors and 2 negative outputs per channel. There is a good chance that only one of each is shorted, we can identify the shorted parts and they can easily be cut out of the circuit so you can test the amp to see if there is any other damage or if it is just the output transistors. Let me know if you want to try that.
