98 cherokee, stereo wiring

1988 Jeep (AMC) Cherokee Laredo 4.0L
cd player reinstall
the previous owner of my XJ did a horrible wiring job, it was just asking for an electrical problem. So long story short I cut out the harness where he had installed it and totally forgot to see what was hooked to what.
Just need to know what to connect what to.
Harness:
Black
Yellow
Blue
Red
Grey
Grey/Black
White
WHITE/ Black
Purple
PURPLE / Black
Green
GREEN/ Black
Dash:
Pink - connect to batt/fuse under the hood
Thick Yellow
Blue - connects to amp in the rear
green
GREEN / WHITE
RED / brown (maybe gray or faded black)
white
WHITE/ black
ORANGE / black
yellow/black
PURPLE / orange
2 blacks
grey
brown

ok the above post didnt work haha
what I was saying was the 2nd diagram was very helpful, but i still dont know on these 3
the blue from the amp (dunno where to connect), the RED / brown on the dash (does ?), and the ORANGE / black on the dash (does ?)

ORANGE / Black = illumination = turns the lights on the radio when you turn your headlights on.

The blue wire is possibly the amp turn on wire.  If it is the amp turn on wire, it connects to the Blue/White wire on the radio.

ok, but what would i connect the BLACK/ orange wire to?
I've got everything else connected so far.

If there is no ORANGE / white wire on your radio, then you do not need to connect it to anything.  Just insulate it and let it be.
