Hi. I would like to put a sound system in my car. Will be 15’’ SUB to do low frequencies, plus 2 x 12’’ woofers (for middle) and the rest…
My doubt is with the SUB. After 1 week searching, I arrived to these options:
A) Pioneer TS-W8102SPL 15" 3000wRMS +- USD 750
B) Rockford Fosgate SWX T212D2 15" 1000wRMS +- USD 420 60 pounds
C) RE AUDIO XXX15-D2 15" 2000wRMS +- USD 640 100 pounds
D) Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro 15 2500 watts +- USD 500 70 pounds
No matter the prices difference.
I would like the loudest sound possible with the best sound quality possible. I don’t have the amplifier yet, I will buy after choose the sub.
Good points:
Rockford Fosgate: specialty got my attention by the size of its case (movie is 12"). Low size is good because I plan to put others woofers

This video really drove me crazy
Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro 15 - by youtube videos, looks like the best excursion,
and over the web I found some reviews rating as excellent, perfect, etc.. just
good things….however, most reviews are "unknow sites"and may be fake.
Doubt points
Pioneer TS-W8102SPL 15" really has 3000wRMS??
What do you guys recommend? I had sound system before, but no experience with these monsters of sound.
Thanks a lot!!

I like the older Jl 15w3 if you can find them, there not made any more.  I would also NOT recommend putting in two different sizes of subs.   The frequencies they produce will be different and you would run the risk of cancellation of their sound waves, im not saying it cannot be don just nor recommended.

I will be using just ONE 15'' sub, <200hz... the other 2 that i said will be just woofers (600hz-1000hz or somethng like that, not sub in theory)

Strokers are one note, forget SQ
Rockford is crap these days.
RE's will take a beating.
No experience with the Pioneer.
RE, DD, or Fi would be my first choices.
200Hz is high for a 15". I wouldn't run the 12" above 450hz. Above that they tend to beam. Above 800Hz you will be creating a crossover point too low for most tweeters or to high to make a good transition to say a Comp set.
I love watching the YouTube videos. It's great to see how
many people really have no clue what they are doing or payed
a fortune for sub par installations.

Thats what i was gettting at.    Good luck finding a 15" woofer that will play up to 200 hz, and even harfer to find a 12 to play at 600hz.  Thats not what they are intended for.  Do a little more research and set your system up accordingly.  Most people will set the lowpass filter around 80hz (at the most!) for a 15" woofer.

If your looking for SQ seperation is key but you have to set up your eq and crossovers to have a slight overlap, but keeping that in mind you need to set up your speakers to play the frequency response they are designed for.  Have your 12" woofers tuned with a rolloff around 100hz,  then it would be a good idea to invest in some midbass drivers ( 8" or 6')  that will range from 100 to around 400 hz..   A component set that will compliment it well would be a 3 way set with 6.5", 4" and tweeter.

Of course theres not a one size fits all, but speakers are designed and produced with a certain response output, check each speakers Thiele Parameters for guidance.

I just need a help to find out what is the best sub available, made in US. I will finish the project with a specialist, but for now I need to buy the sub and its power amplify.
