Ok I just got my sub in today and it came with 2 variable Q metal cylnders, the manual doesnt say much about them im guessing they adjust the type of sound i will get but which one would be best for a single sealed enclosure with a alpine M500 wired at 2 ohms, just really wanting the best SQ i can get but not sure which vq to go with if any, thanks

The variable cylinders allow that sub to be placed in different sized boxes. What is the cubic footage of your box?

Infinity recommends that with a one cubic foot box you will not use an insert. Personally I would try it without the insert first see what you think and then if its not as responsive as you would like drop in the mid insert. I have two 12d VQs in a sealed box and Infinity recommended to use no insert as well. I have placed in the mid insert and i found they are a bit more responsive and have more punch to them with that insert. Just experiment with it.
