Just been looking at some new amplifiers and subwoofers for my new car setup. I was just wondering what would be the best way to wire these two components, either 8 ohm or 2 ohm?
Also, Im thinking 2 amps and two subs, one for each sub, or will i get just as much power by running 2 of the below subs on one of them amps at 4 ohm?
What you guys think?
Products are below

replys very much appreciated, thanks danny

1: Those aren't the greatest woofers, mang... There are certainly better drivers out there, especially for the fundage you will be dropping on those, just because of the current badge.
2: ANYTHING with a "Boss" name on it is a cheap amp. Low-end "Swap-O-Rama", even. If that amp makes 100 to 200 real-world watts, I'd be very surprised.
I'd start with a selection of better quality gear.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

im very surprised about the woofer opinion to be honest, looking about, there are lots of positive resullts about them aswell as the fact the subs hold a high percentage of good to high places positions in car audio.
In regards to boss, ive never used them before thats why i asked but i heard lots of bad reviews about pyle and lanzer and in my old car setup which was cheap, it did a fairly good job in my opinion for how much it got slated.
Have you got any recommendations of the kind of products to look at? bearing in mind im not going over the top with this but want to have a good setup
thanks for the quick response

See if you can get an insignia amp, its another budget brand (best buys brand actually) but from everything ive read, and talked to a few best buy people, they seem to be rock solid.
I own one, although i dont have it hooked up yet, the construction seems to be a good quality.
thats just my .02 Canadian cents......
