brand new here, and want to ask a question........

If I ran 2 pair of Alpine 6 1/2in type R components, could I wire them into 2 ohm to get the 115w X 4

and still be able to wire the 5th channel into 1ohm for 1100w for subs?

(more questions based on answers)

thanks

16-MCH1300

yes you can do this but that mean you would only be using 3 of the 5 channels. Are both sets of componets going to be used up front?

You can run that amp into a 2 ohm per channel stereo load.  You can not run it 2 ohm bridged stereo.  I think that is what you are asking.  2 ohm stereo would require 2 sets of speakers on the front channels and 2 sets of speakers on the rear channels of the amp.

That is correct. With the exection of channel 5 that is your 1 ohm stable sub channel

can I get 115w rms into EACH speaker with the 1300 Memphis Belle?

You can get 4 X whatever the amp is rated at into 4 ohms.

THANKS!! that is what I thought, DAMN I guess I need another amp.

See I wanted 100+w going to mids and highs and 1000 going to the sub.

one more question........can you wire a single(1) DVC subwoofer to pull a 1ohm load?

Yes you can but you would have to run say both right(front and rear) on one channel stereo and the lefts on one channel stereo to get a 2 ohm load to get you 115 rms in stereo operation. Then using the sub channel for the sub. As i said before using 3 of the 5 channels. Keep in mind this will lose your ability to fade front and rear
