newbie seeking advice

hello everyone.  first please forgive me if i don't explain myself clearly. i'm new to all this car audio stuff and it has my mind kind of mixed up. i am sure i have made many mistakes here so take it easy on me.  ;-)

I guess i should tell you my setup:

vehicle: Bronco II

head unit: Pioneer DEH-400ubfront speakers: JL Audio TR650-Csirear speakers: Alpin s-type 6x8/5x7subs: 2 JL Audio 8W3V2-D4 in sealed boxamps: Punch P325.1other: 2 farad capacitor

other items I have: Punch P1 10 sub in sealed box, P450.4 amp, JL Audio XR100CT

F/R speakers are running directly off my head unit, subs are running in parallel off the punch amp 4ohm load

In the realm of what I have available what would be the best configuration.  I am thinking about replacing the 8W3's with the P1, pull the alpines out and install the 8W3's in as my rear speakers for some mid-bass support... running the P1 off the P325.1 and the JL Audio components and 8w3's off my P450.4??? I'm assuming I will have just ditch the Alpines and the XR100CTs but if there is a way that I could set all this up for a really great sounding system that would be cool.  Ultimately I'm not going out for competition sound just want something clean that I can turn up while I am at the beach and be able to hear clearly.  The nice part about the Bronco II is that it has a lot of space between the sheet metal of the truck and interior paneling.  thanks for everybody's help in advance...

sounds like an ok set up. you should make a mounting plate if you stick those 8's into your back doors so that there are no gaps, but this will probably work out nicely. i would also not worry about installing that capacitor. and switching those components from running off of the radio to an amp should make a difference also. basically, the way you are setting it up is about as good as it will get with the equipment you have.

Ok cool well that is good to know.  At least I am on the right track.  I put the cap in only cause it came with the JL subs and I figured what the hell.  My Bronco actually starts up easier now so I think I have a weak battery?  I'm in the process of rebuilding this rig and when I get to the engine I plan on putting in a "better" battery and high output altenator so that should help things too.
