Toyota Landcruiser 1999 with stock audio.
Wondering if anyone can give me an idea on diagnosing a radio problem, I wanted to replace my stock radio on '99 LC, purchased a dash install harness kit Metra part# 70-8112, I wanted to make sure it fit so I removed my stock radio unplugged harness and plugged in the dash kit harness, the fit was fine so I plugged my stock radio back in but now it won't turn on. I did not disconnect the battery or antenna cables and the key was out of ignition. The yellow wire on the metra harness was bare so it might have touched something metal.
Checked fuses, they are all ok, everything else in the car works fine. Got my voltmeter out and noticed that I'm not getting any power in the radio harness to the battery 12V constant, Ign 12V and dimmer 12V get power when switching ACC.
I'm aware that '99 LC uses a amp located under driver seat... and power goes to it first. If I try and plug in the radio harness back into radio there is a loud static noise in all speakers right before the plug seats and the power antenna starts to raise, but once it seats properly all goes quiet antenna lowers and no power to unit with car on or off.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

if all else fails you can try to run a new power wire, but i think it is a fuse. how did you check your fuses?

Actually I think I may have it figured out, found the audio plug schematics for the LC, power goes to AMP under the seat first and then from AMP to radio, so AMP is getting 12V constant but is not outputting 12V constant. Removed the AMP and opened it up, has a soldered 10A ceramic type fuse that I think is blown, tested power on circuit board side and is reading 12V but on plug side nothing.
Will try and find a replacement and solder it on to see if this fixes the power problem and hopefully my stock unit, although it seems like the stock unit should be able to run without constant 12V power and just use the ACC 12V when the ignition is on but even with ignition on it won't come on.
