Is there any other work done to the truck's audio system, and what wires do you have hooked up between the adatper harness and the aftermarket?

You should have the following wires connected:

Yellow, Red, Black, White, WHITE/ Black, Grey, Grey/Black, Green, GREEN/ Black, Violet, Violet/Black, Blue (if equipped w/ power antenna), Blue/White

DO NOT CONNECT - Orange, ORANGE / White

There is a seperate 9 pin harness that plugs into the factory radio. This harness does not plug into the aftermarket harness, but there is one wire you need. The pink wire(should be the last wire on the end) is the remote turn on wire for the factory amp. Even though you don't have the bose, there is still a factory amp behind the glovebox. Just wire up the pink wire to your blue remote wire on the radio and you should be good to go. Screw the onstar, unless you were planning on using it, just forget about it.
