I have a 1997 2 door cutlass supreme and it has JL audio VR 6x9's in the rear deck.  The problem is i have a JL audio W7 12 in the trunk and when  the sub is poundin its not letting the 6x9's return back like they should and distorts the music.  the 6x9's are open to the trunk area and im assuming the pressure from the sub is affecting them. I dont really wanna take them out cause then you cant hear any music is the back seat. its not quite as bad when the seat is folded down but stil happens. sub is in a ported box.  I was thinkin of building a box around the 6x9's then mounting and sealing it them. Any suggestions??

I was just going to tell you to seal off the 6x9's so the air from the subs are not going get to them. Thats all you have to do is to build a little box around them and you problem is solved

seal them off from the trunk or take them out all together are pretty much your only options.

Dude... Ten bucks and freight... Problem solved.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Why oh why mix 6x9s and subs? You tell them and explain till you're blue in the face, thank the powers that I don't really get involved anymore, how did I stray to car audio?
