Hey I know kole audio isn't as truthfull as companies like rockford and JL (which is what I have been using). But Im looking into their new Kole Phanatik Amplifiers. They seem to be able to push some power with the general Fuse rating. PHI-5500D 40x5 fuses.

But Testing is going to be the best way to get the truth. Has anyone tested, heard, use, or install these amplifiers?

Nope. But in general Kole amplifiers put out some really high distortion levels and are not very good SQ wise.

I do not know if they are affiliated with, or just share the same build plants as Power Acoustik. But many of their amps have the same identical circuit boards.

Yeah I was looking at the Power Acoustik BAMF5500/1D and the Kole PHI-5500D. same RMS rating and THD .5%. is this the same amp?

I have not seen that particular Kole amp. I have seen the Power Acoustik. Do you have a picture of the inside of the Kole? Easiest way to tell is if every control and connection is in the same exact location of both amps, then the circuit board is probably the same.

No i cant find a picture of that kole amplifier. How do you feel about the power acoustik high end amplifiers? BAMF5500/1D is rated at 3200wrms. do you think it can really give out that much power?

The Power Acoustik 3000D is the same as the Planet Audio 2250. The Power Acoustic amp is rated at 2300 watts. I do believe that those 2 amps will do at least close to the 2300 watts. They are much larger in size than the 5500. Same exact technology in the design of each. In my opinion, it will not do that kind of power.

this amp sucks had it for about 8 months and for some reason it just wouldnt get loud sounded like the bass boost went out in the amp just got a rockford p500-2 hooked it up and it was three times as loud at 4ohm than the kole was at 1ohm and the rockford was a good clear sound kole had alot of distortion kole is made by power craptistic i will never buy anything from them again junk junk junk now i have this 5500 watt paper weight that i spent 300 bucks on

2004 f150 stx 24s 2 12"cvt kickers under seat rf p500-2 amp bench tested at 767rms and indash tvdvd
