Ok basically I want to go from 2 US Acoustics USX 2100s to one 4 channel amp for a couple of reasons. I have a 10" JL W3v2 w/ dual 2 ohm coils wired for 4 ohms, and a pair of CDT CL-61As. I'm currently looking at either the URL=http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500MRPF600/Alpine-MRP-F600.html?tp=115]Alpine MRP-F600[/URL] or the JL Audio G4500. My plan is to run channels 1&2 for the components and bridge channels 3&4 for the sub.

So my question is, will my intended wiring work if I get the JL amp? The Alpine advertises itself as a 4/3/2 channel amp so I'm just wondering if the JL is capable of the same? Is it safe to say that any 4 channel amp can be safely used for 3 channels or is it definitely something to be wary of?

The amp was intended to be used exactly as you are planning to use it. Any bridgeable 4 channel amp is a 4/3/2 channel amp.
