Hi;
I have an older Kenwood KDC-x869 Car Stereo. It was one of the first decks that would play MP3 files written to CDs. It has some RCA Jacks for Aux Input. I know I can plug an Ipod docking station into it.
Here's what I would like to do. I want to store a lot of music on an SD Card and am looking for a device to play the sd card and input it into the deck. Is there any type of device that will do this?
Thanks for any help.

If your deck can read "thumb drives" via a USB port, then you can get a MicroMate SD USB Reader. FANTASTIC little reader, fast and accurate. Small enough to carry with you easily, I recommend one of these with a handful of VERY cheap 8 or 16 GB SD cards. ALL it does is read SD cards, so there is nothing to confuse the deck with multiple slots. It just appears as a USB thumb drive to any USB enabled PC, so, it would work exactly the same way on your deck.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

His deck is 6 years old.  Your only option is going to be an MP3 player that reads SD cards.  You will have to use the player to change songs.

Thanks, but I hadn't thought about having to use the player to change songs. I guess I will have to get a new deck :(
