new spl sub?

Ok right now I have an infinity kappa perfect 10 dvc powered by an alpine m500 amp in a sealed box, but I am about to give my kappa to my girl and plan on buying a good spl sub this time something for under 200 bucks just another single 10, I was looking into the orion hcca subs whats everyones opinion on these subs? I see they are rated at 1500 rms and my amp is only 500 rms is it still going to sound good being underpowered by this much?mustang GT convertible with lots of performance mods... dont get an SPL sub, build an SPL box. because we all know that its the enclosure that does most of the work......right? sure it helps to have a good sub but without the right box a good sub is mediocre. find a sub with good power handling and mechanical tolerance and build a nice efficient enclosure for it. are you wanting to go to competitions with this set up? or are you just wanting to go deaf and /or make the neighbors mad?

how large of a box can you commit to if you were going ported and only giving it 500 watts?
