Hey Guys, Just wanted to get an idea on how you guys in the industry feel about the Cerwin Vega Line... It is never talked about and i know a car audio guy bought them out(actually sell amps now that match up to subs IE...The Stroker)...We just got in a few of there base subs...I was pretty Impressed by them. Just wanted to hear it from some others that have maybe got to play w/ there v-max subs...components...amps...And how you feel about the stroker series subs. There rep was killing me w/ biased opinions...JL..."nah no comparison"...Memphis..."Not even close"...Eagerly awaiting your responses and Thanks in advance...

After 12 years of selling the line ( and 3 owners )  Liked the line, worked well, subs priced good.........

We had issues, appearently abusing a speaker means playing music through it, but I'll stop there.

Good Luck with them.

The STROKER series is wicked for SPL, Cerwin Vega make some nice subs. The old school paper cone, may not look appealing but it works awesome!
At the end of the day a sub is only as good as the enclosure its put in.

I've had a CW HED 12" in my car's trunk for 5 years.  Does the job pretty well...definitely well if you factor in the low price...but doesn't reach the lowest notes (smallish sealed, 1 cu ft  and polyfill).  I've never sent a clipped signal, though, which could account for the longevity.

(...and you can't hear me coming from a block away...)

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
