please let me know if this box will do the job for an Alpine Type-R. i know building your own box would be cheaper and better but i dont have the knowledge and equipment. i just need to make a quick purchase for my type-r. thank you for your guy's time.

I looked at it... Didn't appear to be anything special. Give it a shot, but only if you can return it if you don't like it.
Generally speaking, most pre-fabs are cheezy construction, with staples or no fasteners at all. An OK price, I suppose, but with freight (non-refundable), your time waiting (what is your time worth? My time is worth up to $150 an hour), and the cost of returning it if it doesn't work (again, non-refundable... THREE huge losses you'll never recoup), you'll be money ahead if you have a shop local to you build it to proper specs to start with.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I agree with haemphyst.  Have an enclosure made to the proper specs for your woofer(s) by a local shop.
