I apologize if this has been brought up before, but here is my issue.
I recently pulled out 2 old amps both 200x2 rockford amps (old school) We hooked them up to a test bench and both amps powered up fine.
1. Amp powers up, switch to amp from deck power on test board and we get no sound. Most other amps work ok.
2. Amp power up, switch to amp from deck power and test board shuts off, flip switch everything comes back on.
Any idea what may be happening here. We kinda think amps might be pulling to much power from source, but I am desperate for advice.
i am an idiot

Try connecting a stand alone known good speaker to the amp.  Just use the test bench for powering and providing signal to the amp.
